Wedding Decor: Tips to Keep in Mind

The date is finally fixed. The venue has been booked after much, much tears and laughter. Now it is time to turn towards marriage hall decoration, and you realise that the task is equally cumbersome as the ones before. You can’t merely add a few LEDs and be done with the hall décor!

Good wedding hall decoration not only makes the venue uniquely yours but also leaves a lasting impression on the attendees. (Plus, it makes for gorgeous photos). But the task of decoration is not limited to the mandap or stage. It includes the photo booth, the aisle, the entryway, and a thousand other little things. To make the process of designing the wedding hall in harmony with your décor theme, we’ve curated a small list of trending ideas.

The Stage And The Mandap: Design Them First

The maximum time the bride and groom spend is on the stage and the mandap. Therefore, both should be decorated to an inch of their life. They make for the most significant elements of wedding décor. If the ceremony is taking place in a wedding hall, i.e., indoors it becomes even more crucial to plan the decoration precisely because every guest eye is either on the mandap or the stage.

What you’ve got to keep in mind?

· Do not use the same colours for stage and mandap décor as your lehenga or saree. Either use a contrasting shade or a complementary one. Imagine a bride in red lehenga standing next to a red settee with red background; she will blend in rather than stand out

· Flowers are the best way to go for mandap decoration

· Lighting is imperative for the stage because it’s here that most photos are clicked. An excellent stage décor will ensure that a stunning backdrop is available for the pictures.

· Do not use LED lights, not just in the mandap or stage but elsewhere too. While wedding halls prefer them to add a pop of color to the environment, they are not conducive for pictures. Ask your wedding photographer; they will recommend you to stick to a yellow light for the décor. LED lead to tacky images, while yellow light brings forth graceful photos.

The magic right light can create is the biggest reason it has become a trending idea for wedding décor. Keep lights the focus of decoration and everything else will fall into place.

If light brings magic to a venue, it is fabrics that enchant it. Acres and acres of material in every shade can be draped artistically to mask an entire wedding hall. The trick not only offers a uniform base for all other décor items but also gives an ethereal appearance. Best of all, by picking material in your wedding theme tones, you can create a classy look.

Another common trend in weddings is photo booths or spots. Most wedding halls have started incorporating it on their own because almost every other couple demands them. And why not, they are excellent ways to click some marvelous photos. If the wedding venue already has a photo spot, make sure you personalize it to match your theme and décor. Little things like using the same flowers as the mandap or the same fabric as the stage can give uniformity.

As hard as it may seem, decorating a wedding venue is not that tough. Once you get the ideas rolling, you will be spoilt for choices. Our last advice is to always discuss with your wedding planner or wedding decorator before making the final call. They are the best judge of space and other constraints.
