Prithika Parthasarthy was a distributor of a luxury skincare brand in Bengaluru when she met a near-fatal accident. The mishap not only threatened her life but also put her career in jeopardy. After being hospitalized for four months, she had to bear the side effects of steroids and medication. Terrible rashes and acne all over her face shattered her. How could she represent a skincare brand when her skin looked like that, she wondered.

Suggestions from all corners poured in for her to go for chemical skincare treatments or even plastic surgery. Anyone else in her situation might have relented. But Prithika did not.

I used travel-size products to give the brand a try. I have to say that it is the fragrance of the products that I liked the most! The aroma is genuinely refreshing and long-lasting.

White sand Mild Face and Body Wash: With the goodness of aloe vera, green tea, and cucumber extract, this face and body wash is ideal for dry and sensitive skin. It’s a creamy wash that cleanses as well as moisturizes the skin.

Main Ingredients: Aloe Vera ext, licorice ext, cucumber ext, green tea ext, jasmine oil, colour (organic), and fragrance.

White Rain Moisturising Body Scrub: This is a soothing scrub that promises to reduce scars and give you a youthful glow. The product was too small for me to comment about the reduction of scars, but I did find it effective in smoothening my skin.

Main Ingredients: Jasmine flower oil, mogra flower extract, bergamot oil, goat milk, coconut oil, titanium, carrot seed oil, almond oil, aloe vera extract, mulberry extract, walnut scrub, glycerine, rose water, ashwagandha extract, kokum butter.

Sunny side-Lightening Moisturiser: This is the product I liked the most. The moisturizer is not too greasy. It not only moisturizes the skin but also makes it look radiant. What’s more, it also provides sun protection. A must-try product from Laval!

Main Ingredients: Glycerin, beeswax, Sheabutter, kokum butter, almond oil, fractionate coconut oil, vitamin c, vitamin e, aloe vera ext, licorice ext, mulberry ext, carrot-seed oil, juniper berry oil.
