Super-easy Chocolate Mousse

This dessert recipe is one of the easiest and only takes three ingredients to make. Plus, you won’t need to turn the oven on for this one

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate (70% cacao or higher), chopped
  • chocolate shavings (optional)
  • 30 regular-size marshmallows
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Directions

  1. Combine the chocolate, marshmallows, and the one-half cup heavy cream in a large bowl—microwave for about two minutes. Continue stirring until all the marshmallows are completely melted, and your mixture is smooth. Put it back in the microwave if otherwise, while stirring in between. Let it cool for about 40 to 45 minutes.
  2. Whip the remaining cream in a bowl until you can form some soft peaks and transfer half of the mixture into a smaller bowl for toppings. Put it inside the fridge.
  3. Stir half of the remaining whipped cream into the cooled chocolate mixture until they are fully incorporated, then gently and fold in the rest. Spoon the mixture into eight 4-ounce ramekins and put it inside the refrigerator until they are set or at least 2 hours and up to overnight.
  4. Top with the reserved whipped cream and sprinkle some chocolate shavings on top, if desired.
