Some days I get out of bed determined to stay active throughout the day. On other days, I struggle to gather energy to move around especially after lunch. The new work from home culture has made things worse in keeping oneself motivated to stay fit and active. Right?

However, there are certain things that can help you stay on track. Here is a list of 6 things you can do to stay active.

Surround Yourself With Positive People

In my opinion, this is *the* most important factor that will keep you motivated in the long run. A cheerful vibe lifts you up whereas negative energy makes you lazy.

Invest in a Smart Band

I always thought a smart band was a wasteful expenditure until I started using one six months ago. The watch is one of the biggest motivators in me achieving my 10k steps a day goal. It prompts me to stand up when I am standing for too long. It reminds me to complete my standing, walking, and exercising goals. And it reminds me to take deep breaths! While I have an Apple watch, there are several cheaper and quality options available. Do invest in one!

Join a Challenge

I have a group on Facebook (Health My Health You) where I keep organizing health challenges. The group challenges urge me to keep up my daily goals and share them with others. You can find such free challenges on apps and groups on social media.

Buy Good Shoes

“There are two things one can not have too many of: good friends and good shoes!” My grandfather always said spending on good shoes is not an expenditure it is an investment for your feet and good health. A good pair of shoes can really pump you up to go that extra mile for your health.

Get the Right Playlist

Peppy music can put you in the right mood for a good workout. Whether it’s EDM or Punjabi songs that get you moving, create a good playlist of workout songs and feel the magic of music on your health.

Get Your Active Wear On

You cannot get into a mood to sweat it out in your PJs. Get the right active wear and get active!
