Take Care of Your Skin on the go with Satliva Beauty Products

Taking care of one’s skin and hair is troublesome when you are always on the go. Plus, if you want to travel light, extra beauty products are the first items to go out of the bag (at least for me). So, I either look for travel size products or the multipurpose ones. I recently came across Satliva, an organic brand, that is a perfect fit. Here’s a detailed review of the products I have been using:

Satliva Hemp with Moringa Face and Body Oil

Satliva products are made from industrial help. They deliver the maximum benefits of its qualities for use prior to bedtime.

Now, summer doesn’t seem to be the best time to experiment with face oils. In fact, I wouldn’t want to put oil at all on my combination skin during this weather. But the brand claims one need not worry about making skin too oily and in fact treats acne-causing infections. It has strong notes of Rosemary essential oil and a refreshing scent of Tea Tree oil. The fragrance is quite soothing.

Upon using it for over two weeks, I can vouch for the fact that this oil is easily absorbed into the skin and makes it soft and supple. I can also see a visible difference in my blackheads and dark spots!

Important tip: The key is to use it sparingly. You just need a drop or two. Also, it is recommended to be used at night after cleansing. The exposure to dust and pollutants can choke clogged pores instead of clearing the toxins.

Price: Rs 1450 for 100 ml

A quick look at Satliva and Hemp:

The brand sources hemp raw materials from the foothills of the Himalayas. Hemp seed oil is extracted and combined with other cold pressed oils & essential oils to produce chemical free products. The oil is extracted from industrial hemp plant (which is not to be confused with marijuana, mind you!). The brand is owned by Namrata Hemp Company, the brainchild of husband-wife duo — Harshaavardhan and Namrata Reddy Sirupa — who aim to offer chemical-free products for skin and hair care. They have a production and manufacturing unit in Bangalore, and custom make batches of the products based on orders. (That explains the high prices. The products are freshly made for you!)

Mango Rosemary Face Cream Review

Hemp seed Oil, Beeswax, Carrot Seed Oil, Moringa, Mango Butter, Rosemary Essential Oil & Tea Tree Oil — all combine to make this face cream that promises to have skin softening, soothing, moisturizing and protective qualities. The cream is great for dry as well as acne-prone skin and has a protective effect against UV rays, making it an effective sunscreen. Again, you need a very small quantity (lesser than your usual cream) else it will feel too sticky. The manufacturers say the 40 gm cream can last you four months; so you need just a little bit to be massaged well on your face.

Price: Rs 450 for 20 gms

Raspberry Lip Balm

Not a huge fan of lipsticks, I am always on the lookout for good balms and lip glosses. This one came in just before our Goa trip and I pushed it inside my handbag at the very last minute. Good decision! The balm is quite effective in keeping the lips well moisturized.

Price: Rs 245 for 10 gms

The prices seem a bit too much? Honestly, I thought so too. But after using the products and understanding that the products are freshly made, I’d say they’re worth it!
