How Good Are Vedix Customized Latest Haircare Products?

Vedix is a brand that offers customized hair care products based on a questionnaire. Here's a review of the products I ordered looking for a solution for hair fall.

According to Ayurveda, all life forms are made from energies from five elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. An interplay of these energies is present in all creations in the form of three doshas known as Kapha, Vata, and Pitta. An imbalance of these doshas manifests itself in hair or skin diseases. Vedix claims to be India’s first customized Ayurvedic solution haircare brand.

The brand boasts of having 20+ years of expertise and more than 25,000 hours of research to offer these customized products.

Intrigued by the idea of getting a personalized haircare solution, I checked out the website and took the hair quiz. The questions were related to my age, lifestyle, body structure, likes and dislikes. The objective of the questionnaire is to find out your Ayurvedic dosha profile. The results of the quiz were emailed to me. Turns out, my dominant dosha are Kapha and Vata. Balancing these would cure my hair fall problem.

The Vedix Customized Solution

Based on my dosha profile, I was recommended a hair care kit with custom Ayurvedic formulations which have a special set of herbs target my hair concerns.

The kit consists of three products: anti-hair fall oil, shampoo, and hair regrowth serum.

The kit came with a set of instructions and a weekly planner:

Vedix Anti-Hairfall Oil : Take 5-15ml of oil and apply all over the scalp and gently massage for 10-15 minutes. Leave overnight for best results. Use every alternate day.

Vedix Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo : Apply a generous amount to wet hair. Gently massage into a rich lather from scalp to ends and rinse with water. Repeat if desired. For best results use in conjunction with other Vedix products.

Vedix Hair Regrowth Serum : Take 3-5 ml of serum with the dropper and apply all over the scalp on dry hair. Gently massage for 5-10 minutes. Leave overnight for the best results. Use every alternate day.

What causes an imbalance in dosha levels?

Below are some predominant factors that cause an imbalance in your dosha levels:

Unhealthy diet
Stress and anxiety
A poor lifestyle which includes smoking and alcohol consumption
Lack of physical and mental exercise
Environmental factors like harsh climate, pollution, UV radiations, etc.
Bad hair habits like heat styling, chemical hair colouring, etc.

Review of Vedix Products I Used

I have been using the products for about a month now. To be honest, the first time I used the products, I wasn’t completely convinced. The shampoo did not lather well and left my hair a tad dry. The serum too did not seem to do much.

However, from the second and third routine onwards I started noticing the difference. My hair started feeling smoother and I gradually noticed a reduction in hair fall. The serum is doing a good job of taming my frizzy hair.

I find the hair oil massage extremely relaxing. The fragrance takes me to Kerala where I experienced some of the best Ayurvedic massages!

Note that the kit comes with a disclaimer: “An increase in hair fall is expected since your hair and scalp are adjusting to the new regimen. Hold on to your hair and Vedix. It takes 3-4 weeks to see visible changes in your hair.”

Fortunately, I did not experience an increase in hair fall although it did take some time to notice a decrease. However, if you decide to try Vedix customized hair care kit, do give it a month to see results.

Price: The kit was priced at Rs 2697. There are different pricing plans to choose from: 6 months subscription at Rs 999 per month; 3 months supply at Rs 1499 per month; 1 month supply at Rs 1699.
