Breakfast Indulgence at Spring, Radisson Blu Dwarka
Aren’t impromptu plans the best? Abhinav and I just came back from an impromptu weekend stay at Radisson Blu Hotel Dwarka. The 217-room property is located in the heart of Dwarka, very close to the metro station. We were invited for an evening of celebrating ‘art and food’ at the hotel but decided to stay for the night for a relaxing staycation. Art lovers should check out the vibrant artworks from the artists from Kamboj Art Gallery, displayed at Spring – the all-day dining restaurant at the hotel. For food lovers, there’s also Rice (Oriental restaurant), Dvar (Indian), Zeppelin (contemporary lounge bar), and Atrium (pastry & confectionery store).
This morning we enjoyed a lavish buffet breakfast at Spring. Illuminated by immense amount of natural light, the restaurant looks extremely spacious. We took a window seat, enjoying the view of greens and metro train passing by.
Known for its sumptuous Sunday Brunch, the restaurant has a huge breakfast spread too. Divided into small sections, spread all over the restaurant, it serves everything from fresh juices to shakes, Continental to Indian, fruits to cold cuts etc.
We began our morning with fresh juice and fruits. While the watermelon juice didn’t seem so fresh, pineapple was refreshing. Next, we had our plates full with sausages, potato wedges, and cheese — our favourites at any breakfast buffet. While this was enough to satiate our hunger, the lavish spread tempted us to have some more. Aaloo kulcha and chole, pao bhaji, pancakes…we had them all! Of course, we conveniently ignored the healthy corn flakes and milk counter but we also saved ourselves from the donuts and sweets section (it looked quite tempting from a distance but we decided to resist those calories!) Apart from these, you can also order omelette, dosa, uttapam from live counters. The long list of choices is a reason enough to try dining here if you’re looking for options for lavish breakfast in Dwarka.
The taste is reasonably satisfactory. We are not sure if we’d really come back for breakfast because of that taste but it has tempted us to try a brunch here.
Must have: Pancakes, Pao Bhaji
Cost: Rs 900 approx inclusive of taxes
