Costa Coffee, a name synonymous with quality brew, quality time and quality conversation, has added another feather in its cap with the launch of its brand new coffee in India, the Flat White.

The Flat White which is an international best seller isn’t just an addition in the colourful coffee menu, but is rather a step further in the outstanding experience that Costa Coffee has always striven to achieve.

BlueSkyDreamers had the opportunity to interview with Mr. Ashish Chanana, COO, Costa Coffee. Mr Chanana mentioned the potential he saw in the Flat White and also the amount of effort it took to train the Baristas to create this blend. He was proud of Costa’s philosophy of quality rather than quantity. Whether its the use of the Cortissimo (a shorter coffee extraction method), or the little master pieces that are drawn on top of the coffee, the Flat White is the very embodiment of Costa’s philosophy to deliver the finest quality to its patrons.

And the good news doesn’t just end here. Mr. Chanana mentioned that Costa Coffee is considering a change in its menu to cater to the local flavour palettes. Costa will consider the preference of the people based on the region. Food that is served at Costa may soon have a regional influence. Costa is also considering serving pastas and other whole meal items as parts of its menu other than bakeries. Costa is planning to achieve this in three phases, the first of which may be as early as end of April.

Mr. Chanana also mentioned that Costa will also have regular book events and books will also be available to customers to enjoy at no additional cost. This is a strategic plan for Costa to become all the more attractive for its target demographic- the intellectual coffee lover.

The event was held in collaboration with HarperCollins and had the likes of Anuja Chauhan, Mridula Koshy, Devapriya Roy, Lavanya Raghunathan, Meenakshi Reddy and Ruchita Misra.
