5 Sure-Fire Tips For You To Choose The Right Yoga Pants

Joining yoga classes is one of the best decisions of your life. Choosing the right kind of yoga pants is going to be the next best decision. Consider these tips for buying the best attire for this wonderful form of exercise.

Anyone who practises yoga can vouch for two facts:

1.      Yoga heals the soul.

2.      Right pair of yoga pants is not a luxury but a necessity.

Right Yoga Pants tips

Some might laugh off the second point, but, it is a fact! It’s hard to relax and meditate when all you can focus on are the itchy tags and seams. You may be very excited about the new balance pose at your yoga class. But, what if your waistband is too tight to let you focus on the exercise? Think about it.

If you are a yoga fanatic, you’d know that choosing the perfect bottom-wear for your yoga classes can be overwhelming. But you needn’t worry! I have compiled a list of things that you should keep in mind while buying yoga pants. My tips have been tried and tested, and I bet you will thank me later. Okay then, let’s dive in.

1.      Comfort is the King!

In my opinion, no exercise is as bad as practising Yoga in uncomfortable pants. It doesn’t let you or your muscles relax, let alone mental peace. Do not choose the fabric that chafes and binds. Make sure the waistbands are not saggy or too tight. You may have different style preferences. But, remember that comfort should be your topmost priority. Please don’t buy the pair of yoga pants just because you saw Kim Kardashian doing it. Buy them because it feels like your second skin. Yoga is all about disconnecting from the external world and getting rid of all distractions. You can’t achieve that if your pants are too tight, too see-through or not breathable. Try out the pants before purchasing them and see if you are comfortable in it or not.

2.      Too much compression is misleading

Your yoga pants are supposed to be hugging your body gracefully and all that. It’s okay if your pants provide you with extra support and stability. But, compression at the wrong places can lead to discomfort and constriction. Your pants should be able to absorb it all in AND provide adequate comfort at the same time. You may even find it hard to breathe if your yoga bottom-wear is too tight. It has to be tight at the right places to help you practice the exercises efficiently.

Initially, I had this notion that tighter my pants at yoga classes are, the better I will be able to stretch. Trust me, it was a terrible, terrible idea. I barely could perform any exercises and ran back home only to find rashes on my skin.

3.      Fabric is the deciding factor

Speaking of rashes, you cannot ignore the importance of fabric here. The fabric should be comfortable, stretchable, and washable. It should have a considerable sweat-absorbing capacity to give you the best experience at the yoga sessions. In my opinion, the unmatched quality fabric would consist of supreme quality cotton along with a 15% spandex. I have used such combinations, and the fabric stays in place and is also soft to touch. It lets you practice different poses without any discomfort.

You may have a liking for a different fabric. Just make sure it suits your purpose and does not embarrass you in the class. Whether you want the pants for your Hatha Yoga, Iyengar Yoga or simply for a party, do not forget to keep a tab on the fabric.

4.  Design matters

Given above are the most primary factors that you need to keep in mind while buying the pants for your yoga sessions. Design is equally important. From traditional and basic patterns to solid colours, you can choose from a slew of yoga pant designs. Many people are tired of the basic black hues. In that case, you can try out colourful yoga pants. Even bold and colorful graphic designs can put a little wind in your workout sessions.

5.   Budget

You may think if it is even necessary to get a separate set of pants for yoga. Well, the right pants are mandatory if you want to make the best use of your yoga classes or sessions. You don’t have to bust your budget in an attempt to buy designer wear pants. Just visit a local clothing store and purchase a good pair for yourself. Finding inexpensive and high-quality yoga bottom-wear is no rocket-science, after all.

If the budget tends to make things hard for you, try out organic cotton workout clothes. They hold moisture more than other fabric and still feels great on the skin. The recycled fabric is amazingly comfortable, as well.

Wrapping Up

You will find people of all shapes and sizes performing Yoga poses passionately without any stress. Similarly, your yoga pant is also available in different sizes, shapes, and colours. I intended to provide a direction to you for buying the right pants. Now it’s your turn to identify what’s best for your body. Good Luck!
