Qatar Summer Festival Gets Grander This Year

In its 5th edition, Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) (from 14 June until 31 August)  is getting bigger with an array of hot summer deals and colourful entertainment options. For instance, nearly 50 of Qatar’s five- and four-star hotels are providing a range of offers and discounts on room rates, brunches, beach and pool access, accommodation and spa treatments. Shopping enthusiasts have something more to look forward to: Retailers at 10 participating malls will be offering up to 50% discounts and special promotions. For every QAR 200 spent at any of the outlets in QSF’s participating malls, shoppers can enter three raffle draws for a chance to win one of 25 exciting cash prizes worth more than QAR 1,000,000 or a Lamborghini Huracan (2018 model) super car.

If you are planning to travel with kids, check out the Entertainment City. Spread out over the expansive ground floor of the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center, the City’s key features include the world’s largest bouncy castle, an 18-hole mini-golf course, an ice skating rink, exciting rides, skill games, video games, as well as live entertainment show. 


Air India to increase New Delhi-Tel Aviv flight frequency to four times a week

Air India has announced an increase in frequency on this sector, adding a fourth flight a week starting 14th July. The airline will now fly on Saturday in addition to Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday every week on the 256-seater Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Speaking about the new development, Mr. Hassan Madah, Director, Israel Ministry of Tourism – India & Philippines said, “We are pleased with Air India’s move to increase weekly flight frequency in light of the significant rise in tourist arrivals from India. The outbound numbers to Israel have grown exponentially in the last few years and this introduction will help meet the growing demand from India.”

The aircraft departs from New Delhi at 16.50 pm and arrives in Tel Aviv at 21.45 pm (local time). On its return leg, the flight departs from Tel Aviv at 23.15 pm and lands in New Delhi the next day at 8.20 am. With one way duration of 7 hours and 10 minutes, Air India is currently the fastest nonstop flight between India and Israel taking a straight route between the two countries.

If you’re looking to escape the northern heat, check out the cool activities at St. Moritz! With gently sloping hills draped with lush Alpine meadows, high mountain valleys, mighty glaciers, glistening lakes and romantic landscape, there are several activities, attractions and events in the Engadin Valley that a family can partake in together.

At Pontresina Rope Park, children as well as adults enjoy the high-rope challenge course in Pontresina. The facility is located in the forest, and with its series of platforms linked by rope bridges, zip wires, wobbly beams and various obstacles, offers exciting challenges for agile and sure-footed visitors over the age of four.

 

Cheese lovers must check out The Morteratsch Alpine cheese dairy. It is rustic, authentic and cozy and caters to guests from mid-June to end of October from 9am to 5pm daily. Guests can experience cheese-making as it happens right in front of your eyes. Traditional show cheese-making generally starts at 9.30am and 1.30pm. Guests can also enjoy a vast spread of the Alpine Brunch served daily from Tuesday to Sunday between 9.30am and 11.30am (not available Mondays). Bookings are accepted until 5pm the day before.
