A Memorable Weekend Getaway from Delhi to Nainital

When the mundane routine takes a toll on you and your mind is full of doubts, just take a road trip to the hills, where earth meets the clouds….  ~ Blue Sky Dreamers

It’s true. Hills always seem to have the answers and the power to soothe a chaotic mind. So it is often that Abhinav and I find ourselves taking the road and heading to our favourite hill station, Nainital. And it was recently again. Here’s a quick video to inspire you to take a quick weekend getaway from Delhi to Nainital and come back refreshed!

Drive from Delhi to Nainital: It took us approximately 7 hours to reach Nainital. This includes half an hour break.

Take a break at:  Bikanervala in Gajraula is a good option. There aren’t too many good dhaba options on this route. The other options on the way are Mc Donalds, KFC, Bhajan Dhaba, Apni Haveli (not a very good one; we tried it the previous time)

Distance in kms: approx 300

Hotel we stayed in: We stayed at the beautiful Shervani Hilltop Hotel. This beautiful garden property is not just picturesque but also very comfortable. Since it was off-season, we got a good rate of approx Rs 11600 for 2 nights booked through Goibibo. This included our stay plus breakfast & dinner.
