WHERE TO GO THIS WEEKEND?

Romantic Restaurants in Delhi

Candlelight dinners sound filmi. Real romance comes alive when a dinner date is under the open sky on a breezy evening or inside a restaurant offering just the right amount of coziness… Somewhere you can look into each other’s eyes and not worry about prying eyes of the staff. As Delhi gears up to don its most romantic look, here’s listing out some of the most  romantic restaurants in Delhi. Starting with what I consider the most romantic restaurant in Delhi — Lodi, the garden restaurant. More coming soon!

1.  Lodi – The Garden Restaurant: The bliss you just can’t miss

So you’re out for a drive with your loved one on a cool breezy day (or night) and you just want to take the romance up a notch. You know the mall food court won’t cut it and well a trip to Europe is too eccentric for your liking. What if there was a blissful little place in the heart of Delhi that looks nothing less than a fairy tale land out of a Yashraj movie. Where romance seems to be the theme and those little moments where one can just stare into each other’s eyes without being disturbed by an impatient staff member are aplenty.lodi outdoor

Well, look no further. You can find all this and more at the Lodi restaurant. A stone’s throw from India Habitat Centre, it’s a little piece of heaven where one can relax, enjoy a meal, have a fascinating ambience full of privacy and solace.

Although it’s a nice place to visit during the day time, the charm is incomparable at night. Sit in the al fresco and enjoy the breeze or be seated in the restaurant which has an airy feel with a good amount of space between tables. The staff is welcoming and food, although not its strongest point, is still quite good. A tad expensive but quite palatable.

Then again, if it’s just food you’re looking for, there are plenty of places to go to. If it’s an experience where the nature surrounds you in its musical symphony, the fragrance of dew on fresh grass makes you smile, if you want to just slow down a bit and enjoy the things that matter most in life and if you seriously want to rekindle the romance that got lost in the rat race, it’s a must see place.

And don’t get me wrong. It’s a great place for couples and families alike. A very safe and healthy environment. But personally, the place is begging you to come with your loved one.

Parking is good, staff is great, ambience is simply magical, the garden feels like Eden, the restaurant feels cozy and comfy. The only downside to the entire experience is the garden furniture. Needs a bit of up keep.
