Shopping: Things to buy from Pushkar, Rajasthan
If these were up for sale, I would have splurged on buying these from Pushkar: relaxed pace of the city; air fragrant with roses; and the colours that make the town look so vibrant. I would have opened these one at a time whenever mundane routine took a toll on me. But then we wouldn’t have a reason to travel in that case! Fortunately, there are several things that remind us of our voyages, and can be bought with money. Here’s my list of things you must buy from Pushkar… 1. Pushkar: It is what you want it to be!
“Everything was pure in Krita Age; in Treta, Pushkar became sacred; in Dwapara, Kurukshetra; and in the Kali, Ganga became sacred”. ~ Mahabharata If you wish to feel the pulse of this town, find yourself a spot in the outdoor section of the most popular café (Sunset Cafe) in Pushkar. It had started raining heavily, out of the blue, that afternoon when we stepped out of our gorgeous tent at Orchard Tents, to see Pushkar. The café hadn’t started its rooftop section since the…

Photo Story: Weekend in Nainital
This morning I woke up with a nostalgia of our weekend getaway to Nainital last year. The hill station has been written off by many since there is “nothing much to see or do” there. But that’s the reason, perhaps, why Abhinav and I are still fond of it! Waking up in the morning to fresh air, walking down the mall road by the lake, eating from small roadside stalls, seeing the wooden souvenirs (that have been there for centuries!)…I think we have a fondness for this old world charm. Here’s a photo story of our trip, to inspire you to take a quick trip to this quaint hill station……
