Beat the Heat: Citrus Drench Spa at The Imperial
If hedonism was my way of life, I would have spent most of my time at a spa. I think it’s one of the quickest (expensive, of course) ways to cut off from the monotony and cool off your senses especially during such merciless summer days.
How wonderful it would be to be able to hibernate in cool corners of a spa! I would definitely pick The Imperial Spa, one of the best spas in Delhi, for a summer hideout.
Now, let me admit that anything I say about The Imperial Spa is bound to be biased since it is my favourite spa in Delhi. It never fails to impress me a little more, each time I visit it. Its soothing white interiors do half the job of revivifying you.
My recent visit to the spa for a review was all the more refreshing because of the treatment I chose i.e. Citrus Drench.
True to its name, the therapy involves soaking in the benefits of citrus. Citrus fruits are known not only for their high vitamin C content, but also for their fresh fragrance. The acid in these fruits kills bacteria and other pathogens on the skin, leaving it fresh and clean. Skin softening, toning, glowing – the benefits of lemons, limes and oranges are many. And that makes this treatment a “must-try” especially during cruel summer.
The treatment begins with a quick shower to prepare the body for the spa. The masseuse then soaks my feet in water with citrus salt. All the products used in the treatment are from a Spanish brand called Natura Bisse. Next follows, the process of exfoliation with body scrub. A cool shower refreshes my skin and makes it ready for a body wrap. Enriched with vitamin C, the wrap works wonders in cooling me off. I wash off the wrap before getting ready for the final step – full body massage. Super C body massage cream is used for a gentle massage. The masseuse allows me to relax for a while and advises not to take a shower again so that the skin can soak in maximum benefits of the cream.
Refreshing is a small word to explain the effect of Citrus Drench treatment. I guess it’s one of the best spa treatments in summer. End it by sipping in some herbal tea and chewing almonds as you put up your feet and relax.
Price: 60 mins Rs. 6000+ taxes [Pamper yourself once in a while…it’s worth it!]
PS:The treatment is available for resident guests only.

Before my trip to Delhi I had read description about this hotel on this web site http://delhihotelreservations.com/the-imperial-hotel-new-delhi/ There no any words about spa, but photos of room are excellent! So I came back just few days ago from New Delhi and have just touching memories about the hotel, about so amazing India. Definitely love it and recommend to everybody.
